Assets You Can Trade on SwissBorg

Fees explained

SwissBorg charges one exchange fee of 0.99%, and unusually it is the same at every loyalty rank from Standard to Elite (source: SwissBorg pricing policy). There is no maker taker fee table to climb and no volume tier to chase. What varies by rank is the card deposit charge and the cashback, not the trade itself. Bank transfer deposits are free.

SwissBorg published charges, September 2026 (source: SwissBorg pricing policy)
ItemPublished charge
Exchange fee, every loyalty rank0.99%
Auto-Invest0.99%
Bank transfer depositFree, though your own bank may charge
Fiat withdrawal0.10% execution fee, with per-currency minimum and maximum
Crypto withdrawal0.10% execution fee plus the real-time network fee
Smart SendFree

The 0.99% is a floor rather than the full price, and SwissBorg says so itself. Its pricing policy states that the price displayed to users includes a real-time market-liquidity adjustment, which represents the difference between the prevailing market rate and the rate actually provided to the user, and that BlockNodes may retain any portion of that adjustment which exceeds the necessary margin (source: SwissBorg pricing policy).

A cost estimate for a $500 purchase on SwissBorg and Bitpanda appears here once the published fee schedules are verified.

History and ownership

SwissBorg is run from Switzerland, and the app is owned by SBorg SA of Lausanne (source: SwissBorg about page). The entity that actually holds the license and takes your money is French. BlockNodes SAS, of 29 rue Blanche in Paris, is authorized to provide crypto-asset services under Regulation (EU) 2023/1114 (source: SwissBorg licensing and regulatory compliance page).

That authorization is confirmed twice from the regulator side, which is the strongest form of evidence on this page. The Autorité des marchés financiers white list carries BlockNodes SAS under licensing number A2026-011 with a licensing date of 5 March 2026 and legal entity identifier 969500PZJWT3TD1SUI59, and the European Securities and Markets Authority's interim register carries the same row with SwissBorg named as the trading name, together with the member states the license is passported into. Germany, the Netherlands, Spain, Italy and Ireland are all on that list.

The gap in that arrangement is worth stating plainly. A MiCA authorization covers the European Economic Area and nothing else. SwissBorg's own footer reads "Engineered in Switzerland, Licensed in Europe," and no United Kingdom authorization and no Swiss authorization for SBorg SA appears on the licensing page, even though both countries are marked as served on the supported-countries table.

Products and markets

The product is a single app that quotes you a price, not an exchange with a public order book. As of September 2026, 34 of the assets RampAtlas tracks have a live SwissBorg coin page, among them Bitcoin, Ethereum, XRP, Solana, Cardano, Chainlink, Tether and USDC (source: SwissBorg coin pages). SwissBorg's own supported-assets table loads client-side and rendered empty for us, so that count comes from checking coin pages one at a time and should be read as a floor.

Eleven fiat currencies are supported: euros, Swiss francs, pounds sterling, Czech koruna, Danish kroner, Norwegian kroner, Polish zloty, Romanian leu, Swedish kronor, Emirati dirhams and US dollars, with dirhams available only to users outside the European Economic Area, Switzerland and the United Kingdom (source: SwissBorg supported assets page).

Reach is wider than most European apps but the quality of that reach varies. SwissBorg's supported-countries table runs to 68 countries. Outside Europe the bank rails narrow sharply: residents of countries outside Europe can fund only in pounds by Faster Payments, in euros by SEPA or Instant SEPA, or in dollars and dirhams by SWIFT (source: SwissBorg supported countries page). Brazil and Mexico appear on the list with no fiat column at all, meaning the account can be funded with crypto and stablecoins only.

Security record and custody

SwissBorg publishes a Proof of Liabilities report and portal. That is the liabilities half of the exercise and not a reserves attestation by an independent accountant, so RampAtlas does not record it as proof of reserves. It tells you what SwissBorg says it owes customers. It does not independently confirm what SwissBorg holds.

Neither BlockNodes SAS nor SwissBorg appears on the European Securities and Markets Authority's list of non-compliant crypto-asset service providers, and we found no hack, insolvency or enforcement action in the regulator and company sources used for this review.

kyc is mandatory and comes in three stages: identity first, then proof of residence above 5,000 euros, then source of funds above 50,000 euros (source: SwissBorg help center, "What Is KYC"). Plan for the second and third checks before you need them rather than in the middle of a transfer.

Deposits and withdrawals

Bank transfer is free and card is expensive, and how expensive depends on which country group you are in. SwissBorg splits its users into a Standard group, being the 27 European Economic Area states it lists, and an International group which it says includes the United Kingdom and Switzerland.

Loyalty rankStandard groupInternational group
Standard2.25%4.5%
Bronze2%Not published separately
Silver and Gold1.75%Not published separately
Platinum, Diamond and Elite1.5%Not published separately

A minimum fee of 5 euros applies. The practical consequence for a British or Swiss user is severe: at the base rank a card deposit costs 4.5% before the 0.99% exchange fee and before the unquantified liquidity adjustment. Funding by Faster Payments or SEPA instead removes the largest of those three costs entirely. Cards, Apple Pay and Google Pay are all priced as card deposits.

Support and usability

SwissBorg is an app rather than a trading terminal, and the flat rate is the design decision that follows from that. You cannot place a limit order, you cannot see the book, and you do not need to learn a fee tier, because everyone pays 0.99%. Support runs through a help center and ticketing.

The honest summary of the usability trade is that SwissBorg is simple to use and hard to price. Every published number is clear. The one number that is not published, the liquidity adjustment, is the one that determines whether 0.99% was a good deal.

SwissBorg suits a European user who wants one rate that never changes, free bank funding in a wide set of currencies, and a French-authorized counterparty confirmed on two regulator registers. Fund by SEPA or Faster Payments and the published cost is competitive with any European broker.

Two things should send you elsewhere. If you need to know your total cost before you trade, the undisclosed liquidity adjustment makes that impossible. If you are in the United Kingdom or Switzerland, you are in the expensive card group and outside the scope of the only license SwissBorg publishes. Anyone funding by card at the base rank is paying more than 3% before the trade even happens. Compare the alternatives at Compare and see France for the local picture.

  • Crypto Estate Planning: Making Sure Your Coins Aren't Lost With You

Passing on cryptocurrency requires two things that an ordinary will does not provide on its own, a record of what exists and where, and a route by which the person inheriting it can reach the keys, because no court order can recover a seed phrase nobody wrote down.

  • Crypto Tax in Australia: CGT, Records, and the ATO

In Australia the Australian Taxation Office treats a crypto asset as a capital gains tax asset, so disposing of it by selling, swapping, or spending it is a CGT event, while tokens you receive from activities such as staking are treated as income when you receive them.

In Canada a crypto disposal produces either a capital gain or business income, and where it is a capital gain the Income Tax Act makes one half of that gain taxable and adds it to your income for the year at your marginal rate.
