Unlock Pressure

2 coins we track have a verified unlock schedule, and 2 of them have tokens unlocking by October 5, 2026. Morpho faces the most pressure: 9.1M MORPHO worth about $22.8M, about 1.33% of circulating supply, equal to 0.6 days of its 24-hour trading volume. On our scale that is moderate unlock pressure. Aster is next at 0.37% of circulating supply. Unlock dates verified September 2, 2026; supply, price and volume from the September 5, 2026 market snapshot.

How we measure unlock pressure

Unlock pressure is one ratio: the tokens released by verified unlock events falling inside the window, divided by circulating supply. The 30-day window runs from September 5, 2026 to October 5, 2026; the 90-day window runs to December 4, 2026. Both ends are inclusive.

Unlock dates and amounts come from each project's own tokenomics documentation and are dated when a person verifies them. A row that is undated, or older than 120 days, is excluded from every figure on this page rather than carried forward.

Circulating supply, price and 24-hour volume come from the same daily market snapshot, taken September 5, 2026. Where a coin has no figure for one of them, the column reads "not measured" and the band is withheld. A missing measurement is never rendered as zero.

Days of volume is the dollar value unlocking divided by 24-hour trading volume: roughly how many days of recent trading the release is worth. It is shown beside the band and is deliberately not part of it — supply share and liquidity are different questions, and averaging them would hide both.

A coin with no verified schedule is listed separately as having no unlock schedule on file. That is not a band, and it does not mean the coin has no unlocks.

Published thresholds. The band comes from this one ratio; days of volume is shown beside it and never folded in.
Band% of circulating supply in 30 daysWhat it means
None scheduledno unlock in the windowThe schedule is verified and nothing falls inside the window.
Lowunder 0.5%A release small enough that ordinary trading absorbs it without a supply story.
Moderate0.5% to under 2%Worth knowing the date. Comparable to a normal month of emissions for most projects.
High2% to under 5%A large share of the float arrives at once. Check who receives it and whether it vests on.
Severe5% and aboveMore than a twentieth of circulating supply in one window. Read the schedule before anything else.
not measuredno circulating-supply figureWe hold the schedule but not the denominator, so no band is assigned.

Deciding between self-custody and exchange custody means choosing which failure you would rather be exposed to, a company that loses or freezes your assets or a mistake of your own that nobody can undo, and most people resolve it by splitting holdings rather than picking one for everything.

  • How to Verify a Token Contract Address Before You Buy

A token's contract address is its only real identity, so verifying one means getting the address from the project's own official channel, confirming the same address independently from a second source, and checking on a block explorer that the contract is what it claims to be before you trade against it.

  • Choosing Your First Crypto Wallet

Choosing a first wallet comes down to one question, whether a company holds your keys or you do, and the right answer depends on how much you hold, how often you move it, and how confident you are about storing a recovery phrase safely for years.
