Assets You Can Trade on Bitunix

Fees explained

The published rates below apply as of September 2026 (source: Bitunix fee structure page). That is a maker taker fee schedule, so a limit order that rests on the book costs less than a market order that fills against one.

Market and tierMakerTaker
Spot, VIP 00.0800%0.1000%
Spot, VIP 70.0100%0.0325%
Futures, entry rate0.0200%0.0600%

The same page runs seven VIP tiers, keyed to 30-day volume or account balance. VIP 7 requires 8,000,000 USDT of 30-day spot volume, 200,000,000 USDT of futures volume, or a 3,000,000 USDT balance.

Bitunix publishes trading fees only. The fee structure page lists no deposit fee, no card fee, and no fiat withdrawal table, so the cost of funding an account is not something you can check before you open one. Budget for that separately.

A cost estimate for a $500 purchase on Bitunix and BingX appears here once the published fee schedules are verified.

History and ownership

Bitunix says it was established in 2021 and describes itself as a global crypto derivatives exchange serving more than 150 countries with over five million users and average daily trading volume of five billion US dollars (source: Bitunix about page, read September 2026). Those are the company's own figures. Nobody audits them, and Bitunix does not publish an annual report or a set of financial statements against which you could check them.

The about page names no parent company, no shareholders, and no financial regulator. That last point matters more than the first two. RampAtlas checked the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission list of licensed virtual asset trading platforms, the Japan Financial Services Agency register of crypto asset exchange service providers, and the Dutch Authority for the Financial Markets crypto register, and found no Bitunix entity on any of them. Where an exchange holds no authorization, the protections that come with one do not apply: capital requirements, client-money segregation rules, and a complaints process that ends with a regulator rather than with the company. Read the Methodology page for how that feeds into a trust score.

Products and markets

The trading side is built around derivatives rather than spot. Bitunix's public futures API returned 737 perpetual contracts in September 2026, of which 697 are quoted in USDT and the rest in USDC or USD (source: Bitunix open API, futures trading pairs endpoint). The about page claims more than 1,200 trading pairs across the whole platform and leverage of up to 200x.

Around that sit copy trading, which mirrors another account's positions into yours, and Bitunix Earn, which the company describes as flexible savings and fixed-term products across more than 20 assets including Tether, Bitcoin, Ethereum, XRP, and Solana. Charting runs through a TradingView integration.

Leverage at 200x is the number to think about hardest. At that ratio a half-percent move against you wipes out the margin behind the position. If you are buying bitcoin or ethereum to hold rather than to trade, none of this product range is doing anything for you, and a venue with a published fiat on-ramp will serve you better. See Buy Bitcoin and Buy Ethereum for what else is available.

Security record and custody

Bitunix states that it separates hot and cold wallets, uses multi-signature authorization, publishes an on-chain proof of reserves, works with the custody providers Cobo and Fireblocks, and has been audited by the security firm Hacken. It also refers to a risk reserve fund and to five million dollars of insurance (source: Bitunix about page, read September 2026).

Take those in order of how much they are worth to you. Third-party custody infrastructure and multisig signing are real controls that reduce the chance of a single insider or a single stolen key draining a wallet. A proof of reserves page shows that assets exist on chain at a moment in time. It does not show liabilities, so it cannot tell you whether the exchange owes more than it holds. Five million dollars of stated insurance is small against a platform claiming five billion dollars of daily volume, and Bitunix does not publish the policy, the insurer, or what it covers.

RampAtlas found no hack, insolvency, or regulatory enforcement action against Bitunix in any primary or court source. That is a statement about the absence of evidence in the registers we check, not a clean bill of health.

Deposits and withdrawals

This is the weakest part of the disclosure. Bitunix's published fee page covers trading only, and the support centre sits behind a bot challenge that did not return readable content (source: Bitunix fee structure page).

MethodPublished fee
Fiat depositNot published
Card purchaseNot published
Bank withdrawalNot published
Crypto network withdrawalNot published

In practice that means you cannot price the full round trip before you sign up. Fund with a stablecoin transfer from a wallet you already control if you can, because a network fee you can see on a block explorer is easier to reason about than an unpublished card fee. Check the withdrawal fee quoted in the app for your specific token and network before you deposit, not after.

Support and usability

Bitunix advertises support seven days a week, around the clock, in Chinese, English, and Spanish, with an average response time it puts at under 30 seconds, and it points to a Trustpilot rating as evidence (source: Bitunix about page, read September 2026). Public review scores are easy to influence and hard to verify, so treat the rating as marketing rather than as data.

The platform itself is conventional for a derivatives venue: web and mobile apps, TradingView charts, a copy-trading leaderboard, and an order ticket that assumes you already know what a limit order does. Beginners will find the futures surface area large and the guardrails thin.

Bitunix suits an experienced derivatives trader who wants a wide perpetuals list, high leverage, and a low headline spot fee, and who is funding from crypto rather than from a bank. The entry-tier maker rate is genuinely competitive and the tier ladder is clearly published.

Look elsewhere if you want a regulated venue, a fiat on-ramp you can price in advance, or a place to make an occasional long-term purchase. There is no published deposit or withdrawal schedule and no regulator standing behind the account, and for a first purchase in a market such as United States that combination is a poor fit. Use Compare to line it up against alternatives.

  • Top tier needs 8,000,000 USDT of 30-day spot volume

Guides

  • Crypto Estate Planning: Making Sure Your Coins Aren't Lost With You

Passing on cryptocurrency requires two things that an ordinary will does not provide on its own, a record of what exists and where, and a route by which the person inheriting it can reach the keys, because no court order can recover a seed phrase nobody wrote down.

  • Crypto Tax in Australia: CGT, Records, and the ATO

In Australia the Australian Taxation Office treats a crypto asset as a capital gains tax asset, so disposing of it by selling, swapping, or spending it is a CGT event, while tokens you receive from activities such as staking are treated as income when you receive them.

  • Crypto Tax in Canada: How the CRA Treats Cryptocurrency

In Canada a crypto disposal produces either a capital gain or business income, and where it is a capital gain the Income Tax Act makes one half of that gain taxable and adds it to your income for the year at your marginal rate.
