Fees explained
Toobit prices spot at zero and makes its money elsewhere. The rates below come from the fee structure published on 26 June 2026, under which Toobit states plainly that spot trading remains commission-free (source: Toobit fee rate page). Futures fall with volume from the VIP 0 rate shown.
| Market | Maker | Taker |
|---|---|---|
| Spot, VIP 0 through VIP 6 | 0.0000% | 0.0000% |
| Spot Assessment Zone, VIP 0 | 0.0750% | 0.1000% |
| Futures, VIP 0 | 0.0200% | 0.0600% |
One exclusion matters. Spot pairs in the Assessment Zone are outside the zero-fee policy and run on their own schedule. Newly listed tokens are the usual residents of that list, so check which zone a pair sits in before assuming the trade is free. Toobit publishes a Merkle-root hash and a self-verification tool for its reserves (source: Toobit proof of reserves page).
A cost estimate for a $500 purchase on Toobit and Bitunix appears here once the published fee schedules are verified.
History and ownership
Toobit is a young venue and says so. Its own site marks three years of operation as of September 2026 and describes the business as an award-winning global crypto exchange built on security and innovation (source: Toobit about page). That is self-description rather than an audited fact, and RampAtlas could not confirm the company's ownership structure from a primary source.
Age is worth weighing here more than at established venues. Three years covers one market cycle at most, which is not long enough for an operational record to mean much, and a zero-fee spot policy has to be funded from somewhere. The honest position is that Toobit's transparency practices are better than several older competitors while its track record is shorter, and those two facts pull in opposite directions.
Products and markets
As of September 2026, Toobit's public exchange-information endpoint reports 537 spot markets trading across 531 base assets, quoted against Tether and USDC only (source: Toobit public API). One market per asset, priced in a stablecoin, with no fiat quote currency at all.
The surrounding product set is wide for a venue this size: USDT-margined and USDC-margined perpetual futures, event contracts, a prediction market, a simplified perpetual product, demo trading, grid and averaging bots, an on-chain trading section, a launchpad and copy trading (source: Toobit product navigation). Spot is the free part; the derivatives products are where the published rates apply.
Security record and custody
Toobit publishes a proof of reserves built on a Merkle tree, exposing the root hash and providing a tool that lets an account holder verify their own balance was included in the snapshot (source: Toobit proof of reserves page). For a three-year-old exchange to ship a working self-verification tool is a better signal than a page asserting that funds are safe, and several much larger venues publish nothing comparable.
Read the limits into it. The proof covers assets at a moment in time, not liabilities owed elsewhere, and it is only useful if you run it. RampAtlas could not fetch an independent audit attestation or an insurance statement from Toobit's own site, and so records none, and it found no enforcement action or security incident involving Toobit that it could confirm from a primary regulator or court source. Both statements describe what could be verified rather than a finding of clean standing.
Deposits and withdrawals
There is no bank rail here. Toobit documents four ways in, and none of them is priced on the fee page (source: Toobit deposit options).
| Route | Cost |
|---|---|
| Peer-to-peer trading against local payment methods | Whatever the counterparty's price implies |
| Bank card, Visa or Mastercard | Not on the fee page; card routes typically charge several percent |
| Third-party processors, including MoonPay, Advcash and Simplex | Not on the fee page; processors typically charge several percent |
| Crypto transfer from another wallet | A network fee, plus whatever you paid to acquire the asset elsewhere |
p2p trading and network fee costs are therefore yours to work out rather than the exchange's to publish. So a spot purchase that is genuinely free to execute is not free to make, and on a small first purchase the funding leg will dominate. Price that leg before treating zero as the headline. Country-level availability is on pages such as United Arab Emirates, with the asset view at Buy Bitcoin.
Support and usability
The zone split is the thing to learn. Standard spot pairs cost nothing, Assessment Zone pairs cost 0.0750% and 0.1000%, and the difference is not visible unless you check which list a pair sits on (source: Toobit fee rate page). Since the Assessment Zone is where newly listed tokens live, the pairs most likely to attract a new user are the ones outside the free policy.
Toobit also publishes an announcement centre, an academy and a support centre it describes as staffed around the clock (source: Toobit product navigation), and it operates a demo trading mode, which is a genuinely useful way to learn a limit order without risking funds. kyc applies, and product availability varies by region.

Toobit fits a stablecoin-funded spot buyer who will stay on the standard pair list, verify the reserve proof themselves, and treat the venue as a place to trade rather than to hold. The zero spot fee is real at every tier, and the self-verification tool is better than what several larger exchanges offer. Look elsewhere if you need a fiat bank rail, since every route in runs through a card, a processor, a counterparty or a transfer, or if a three-year operating history is too short for the balance you plan to keep there. Anyone buying a newly listed token should check the Assessment Zone list first, then compare at Compare.
Pros and Cons
Pros
- Spot trading is 0% maker and 0% taker at every VIP level, not just the top ones
- Publishes a Merkle-tree proof of reserves with a self-verification tool
Cons
- Assessment Zone pairs are excluded and cost 0.0750% maker and 0.1000% taker at VIP 0
- Futures are priced normally, at 0.0200% maker and 0.0600% taker at VIP 0
Guides
- Crypto Estate Planning: Making Sure Your Coins Aren't Lost With You
Passing on cryptocurrency requires two things that an ordinary will does not provide on its own, a record of what exists and where, and a route by which the person inheriting it can reach the keys, because no court order can recover a seed phrase nobody wrote down.
- Crypto Tax in Australia: CGT, Records, and the ATO
In Australia the Australian Taxation Office treats a crypto asset as a capital gains tax asset, so disposing of it by selling, swapping, or spending it is a CGT event, while tokens you receive from activities such as staking are treated as income when you receive them.
- Crypto Tax in Canada: How the CRA Treats Cryptocurrency
In Canada a crypto disposal produces either a capital gain or business income, and where it is a capital gain the Income Tax Act makes one half of that gain taxable and adds it to your income for the year at your marginal rate.
