Base emission is one TAO per block, decaying toward a hard cap of 21,000,000. Halvings fire when total issuance crosses the midpoint of remaining supply, at 10.5 million then 15.75 million, rather than at fixed block heights. The first halving occurred in December 2025, so emission as of September 2026 is 0.5 TAO per block, roughly 3,600 TAO per day (Bittensor documentation, September 2026). Registration burns and transaction fees reduce issuance and push halvings further out. No vesting schedule is published.
